5. Content and proposition model

RFP-hoofdstuk 05

Knowledge and solutions connected

Five independent content domains are connected through managed relationships, not forced into one rigid product structure.

Our response & approach

Coherent model with domains

We recommend one structured content model with independently accessible domains. Solutions, Knowledge, Challenges & Insights, Proof & Cases, Expertise & Innovation and Company & Sustainability each get their own entry point. Connections between them are established based on content, so visitors can explore in depth without all information being forced into one fixed hierarchy.

Solutions with appropriate classification

For Solutions, we use one main type with an explicit classification as product, service, expertise-enabled proposition or digital solution. A shared core includes title, summary, application, target audience, market and contact route, among other things. Type-specific fields contain the additional information, such as technical product documentation or the steps of a service. This model can later be extended with a new proposition type.

Connecting knowledge, evidence and experts

Knowledge articles, challenges, cases and studies get their own records. For evidence, we also record the source, owner, publication date, method, result and limits of applicability. Experts get a profile that can be linked to their content. The editorial team therefore manages a source of information; the website can display it in various relevant contexts.

Building blockProposed setupExample
TaxonomieDomain, target audience, challenge, application, supply chain stage, language and market; a managed vocabulary with synonyms. An article about transport can be relevant to both growers and retailers.
ContentrelatiesExplicit links between challenge, knowledge, evidence, solution and expert; relationships may run in multiple directions. One trial supports two solutions and can also be found independently.
PaginatypenHome, domain hub, challenge, knowledge article, solution, evidence/case, expert, company/story, overview and contact.A new potted plant proposition uses the existing solution type.
Search and filteringSearching relevant content and document metadata; filters by type, application, target audience and market.A visitor searches for a document and restricts results to their own language.
Related contentFirst editorially selected relationships, then relevant shared characteristics; local availability and currency limit the selection.A knowledge article does not display a solution that is unavailable in the selected market.

Example of connected knowledge

A representative example is a page about flower quality during transport. The explanation remains independently readable. In addition, the page can refer to an approved trial, a suitable service and a local specialist. Visitors looking only for the study can find it directly through the evidence section or search function. Chrysal determines the substantive accuracy of these relationships; Afdeling Online designs and implements the model.

Schema and editorial rules

We deliver the content schema, taxonomy, relationships, example records and editorial rules. This limits duplicate work while also forming the foundation for findability and potential AI applications.
