RFP-hoofdstuk 07
Authority in search engines and AI
SEO and GEO start with findable, reliable, well-structured and substantiated expertise.
Our response & approach
GEO starts with reliable knowledge
For Chrysal, GEO, Generative Engine Optimization, means making approved expertise usable and findable in environments where AI composes answers. That starts with reliable content that answers customers' questions fully and understandably. A chatbot on the company's own website is not a prerequisite for this. Nor is there a technical setting that guarantees inclusion in AI answers. Google emphasises that the usual SEO principles remain relevant to its AI search features as well. [7]
Analysing search queries and information gaps
We start with a 360-degree analysis of existing content, performance, competition, customer questions and information gaps. Keyword research connects search queries and intent with target audience, language and stage in the customer journey. Prompt research examines how professionals formulate their questions to AI. Available Search Console and Google Ads search term data help identify demonstrable search queries. Keyword Planner provides indicative volumes; these data are not equated with total market demand or reliable prompt volume.
Technical foundation for findability
Based on this, we create a priority map with topics and page types. Technically, we provide crawlable HTML, logical headings, internal links, canonicals, sitemaps and correct language variants. For entities and relationships, we use appropriate structured data, for example for the organisation, articles, breadcrumbs and products where the content justifies it. Markup must correspond to what visitors actually see.
Substantiating and distributing content
In terms of content, we recommend clear answers, visible authors or reviewers, sources, up-to-date documentation and concrete examples. A question such as ‘How can I maintain flower quality during longer transport?’ is linked to approved explanations, supporting evidence and a suitable expert. Chrysal validates product-specific applications, claims and regional conditions. We also recommend external distribution through relevant trade channels, partners and the company's own communications. Ongoing publication and PR fall outside the build cost and receive a separate plan.
Measuring SEO and GEO results
We measure traditional findability with Search Console, organic traffic and relevant conversions. For GEO, we define a fixed panel of fifty questions at the baseline measurement, distributed across priority topics, target audiences and languages. During repeated checks, we record model, date, language, region and, where possible, settings, along with brand mentions, source citations and substantive accuracy. During two weeks of stabilisation, we repeat the panel weekly. After that, we recommend monthly or quarterly measurements. AI answers vary; this sample provides direction and is not a complete market share.
Delivering a dashboard and improvement actions
We measure AI referrals insofar as the source is identifiable. Google AI search traffic cannot be fully isolated as a separate stream from standard reports. Our result is therefore a combined SEO/GEO dashboard and an improvement list, with technical actions, content actions and ongoing work identified separately. [7]
